What Types of Information Do We Collect?
Privacy and HIPPA Compliance
First Responder Resilience, Inc (FRR) and Resilience in Mind, LLC (RIM) state that all potential users, clients, and personnel information from any source and in any form is strictly confidential. This includes but is not limited to digital or paper records, oral communication, audio/video recordings, and other electronic displays. Access to confidential information is permitted only with adequate release of information or other legal demands.
It is the policy of FRR/RIM Fund that all affiliates will respect and preserve the privacy and confidentiality of all potential recipients, clients, and personnel information.
FRR/RIM is pleased to announce that it has achieved compliance with the federally mandated standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). HIPAA is made up of a set of regulatory standards governing the security, privacy, and integrity of sensitive health care data, called protected health information (PHI). PHI is any demographic health care-related information that can be used to identify a user of the website or the program. If vendors who service health care clients come into contact with PHI in any way, those vendors must be HIPAA compliant.
Personal Information
There is no personal information collected when you visit this website. However, when you register through the Resilience in Mind portal, we will collect personally identifiable information to the extent that you choose to provide such information to us. Certain information may not be personally identifiable when standing alone (e.g., your age), but may become so when combined with other information (e.g., your age and name). Personal information is required when you enroll in the RIM program. This is to assure that should you have any issues while going through the program that you have immediate access to people who can support you if you are struggling.
In addition, we do not share any personally identifiable information of any individual collected on our website with any third party unrelated to us, except in situations where we must provide information for legal purposes or investigations, to protect our rights in or the safety of our website, to protect the safety or rights of other users of our website or if so directed by such individual through a proper authorization.
How Do We Collect Information?
User Name and Password
When you log in to the RIM site, you will be required to enter your professional email and password. After the initial login, you will be required to provide a new password that you will need to be responsible for remembering. You are solely responsible for keeping such User Name and Password strictly confidential.
IP Addresses
The Web server automatically collects the IP (which stands for Internet Protocol) address of the computers that access our site. An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you access the Internet. It is not truly personally identifiable information because many different individuals can access the Internet via the same computer. We use this information in aggregate form to understand how our site is being used and how we can better serve visitors.
Please note that although such information is not personally identifiable, we can determine from an IP address a visitor’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity.
First Party Cookies
We collect information about visitors to our site using “first party cookies”, which are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser. Cookies are never directly associated with specific personal identities. First party cookies are distinct from third party cookies that they are created and directly served by the company hosting the website.
You can delete our cookies at any time. The “help” section, located on the toolbar of most browsers, will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie or how to disable cookies altogether. No Sell Policy
We do not sell, lease, or rent email addresses or contact information of our customers to third parties. We may share your personally identifiable information with affiliates and third parties, including e-commerce partners, who assist us by providing services to users of our website, including, but not limited to, credit card processing, database management, e-mail distribution, and website management.
In the unlikely event that all or substantially all of our assets relating to our website are sold or transferred to another party, your personally identifiable information may be transferred to this acquiring entity, though we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your preferences are followed.
How is Your Information Stored?
Customer information collected on our websites and through our services may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which we or our service providers maintain facilities.
While we sometimes ask for credit card numbers for certain service transactions, and either pass them on to a credit card processing service or process them manually, we do not store credit card numbers online.
How is Your Information Protected?
Please note that all of your information (demographics, assessment scores, event reporting) is encrypted to protect your privacy. Once the information is sent to our site, it is kept in secure databases where it is not available to users on the Internet.
We periodically review and modify, where appropriate, our security policies and procedures. We use reasonable care to protect your personally identifiable and confidential information provided by you to our site. We have in place a security program that seeks to mitigate this risk substantially. Please be advised, however, that while we utilize HIPPA-compliant storing protocols and strive to protect your personally identifiable information and privacy, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us that may occur on your side of the process and are not responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of your personally identifiable information in the case that your computer or other communication device is hacked. In the unfortunate event that your “personally identifiable information” (as the term or similar terms are defined by any applicable law requiring notice upon a security breach) is compromised, we may notify you by e-mail to the last e-mail address you have provided us in the most expedient time reasonable under the circumstances; provided, however, delays in notification may occur while we take necessary measures to determine the scope of the breach and restore reasonable integrity to the system as well as for the legitimate needs of law enforcement if notification would impede a criminal investigation.
Code of Conduct
It is the policy of FRR/RIM Fund to promote a company culture that represents the highest ethical standards of clinical and administrative practices. The purpose of the ethical codes of conduct is to ensure that the behavior of the business reflects respect, competence, and professionalism toward persons served, personnel, stakeholders, and the community. It is the expectation of FRR/RIM that all employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers (collectively referred to as “personnel”) uphold and emulate the specific guidelines contained in the policy. In addition, personnel must adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, and the ethical standards required by specific licensing and certification boards.
All direct care providers are expected to adhere to the ethical codes of conduct as applicable to their particular professional discipline.
